Under the new EU Battery Regulation ((EU) 2023/1542 – Batt2), batteries must meet stricter environmental and recycling requirements. Manufacturers are obligated to take back and recycle the batteries. Particular consideration are given to sustainable production practices and the limitation of hazardous substances.
